The Percussion club is for all children what ever their age or ability.
I have a huge range of instruments from all over the world which I can bring into you school and give the children ‘hands on experience’.
So what can happen in a typical hour session?
- Children have the opportunity to compose and perform their own compositions.
- We play a range of musical games to develop rhythm and pitch.
- We accompany our favourite songs with percussion instruments.
- We learn how to perform on our own and in a group.
- We have the chance to play a huge range of different instruments from around the world.
- We develop self confidence, co-operation and have loads of fun.
- We perform to different audiences.
- We combine music, singing and drama.
- We learn how to read musical rhythms and pitched notation.
